Dr John Briffa

Dr John Briffa graduated from University College London School of Medicine as a prize-winning student. While at medical school, he also completed a BSc degree in Biomedical Sciences and Immunology.
Since qualifying as a doctor, Dr Briffa has specialised in the field of nutritional and naturally-oriented medicine. He practices at Highgate Hospital (Highgate, London) and the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth (St John's Wood, London), where he advises on the management of health and disease using a range of approaches including dietary change, nutritional supplements and herbal remedies. He sees a wide variety of health issues, including fatigue and chronic fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome and upper digestive disease (such as indigestion and ulcers), diabetes, weight issues, thyroid disease, skin ailments and joint disease.
Dr Briffa is also a health journalist, and was previously the Daily Mail's natural health columnist. He has been a recipient of the Health Journalist of the Year award. He is currently a columnist for the Observer and Observer Food Monthly magazines and has contributed to over 50 publications. He has authored several books on the subject of health and well-being, including Ultimate Health - 12 Keys to Abundant Health and Happiness, and Natural Health for Kids. Dr Briffa lectures internationally on the subject of nutrition and health, and is a regular guest on TV and radio.
